Little fluffies...

I've been teaching myself to sew by following some great sewing blogs and of course my new addiction, Pintrest.

Finding things to sew for myself was fun but buying fabric is not really in our budget, especially with a trip to Toronto this summer for another national hockey tourney :-) Plus sewing for myself wasn't as fulfilling as I would have liked it to be.

I found this great blog that in addition to great tutorials, there is a monthly sew along for a good cause. This month, Hopeful Threads project is Fluff For Foster Care.

I'm not a great sewer or very patient but with some supplies I had around the house and some great tutorials, I made these little cuties.

I got the tutorials for these doggies here and I used fleece and left over fabric for the ears. Alex liked helping stuff these ones!

Believe it or not, this little dog is made from a pair of socks! This was also very beginner friendly using these great directions. I am going to redo the poor little critter's eyes though, cutting out circles was never a strong point for me :-)
