Syd had Friday off so James decided to play hooky from work so we could all go to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time!
There is also a huge corn maze that has stations to find. If you find all the stations and mark your card, you get a prize. Alex ran through the entire maze, never slowed down. Made for a good nap on the way home :-)
This morning was the Cool Science Rubik's Cube Competition.
Our kids took first place again!
These 8 kids finished 25 cubes in 10 minutes and won $500 for our school science program!
These 3rd, 4th and one 5th graders have been meeting twice a week since a couple of weeks into the school year and all of their hard work paid off! And they get to celebrate with a pizza party next week.
Syd also competed in the individual time competition with a time of 1 minute 40 seconds. Her fastest time during practice was 1 minute 18 seconds. Her goal for next year is under a minute and I think she can accomplish that!
Tonight, Syd and James are in Denver watching a hockey game with her Stallions team and tomorrow we'll be meeting some of our travel group friends from our trip this summer at the zoo. I think I'll need a vacation after this weekend!
